Do you alter your route in?

My route is relatively short (13.5km). In the morning I tend to stick to the "quickest" route, but in the evening I vary it according to mood and weather. I also have some offroad options given that a chunk of the commute is along country lanes with various bridlepaths nearby.
When I was travelling into London the route was pretty standard, although I did occasionally do something a little different.0
