This was put together out of spares, bits from a Voodoo Wanga and bargains from CRC, hence the mixed spec.

Frame: DMR Sidekick
Fork: Marzocchi 'Somethings'
Bars: Bikehut Extreme OS (50p retail, minus staff discount)
Stem: Bikehut Extreme OS (£2 retail i think)
Brakes: Hayes HFX9s (pretty good, and basic as hell to bleed)
Seat: not a clue, was on the voodoo
Post: Tioga 'cheap one off CRC'
Cranks: FSA Gap Quad (half price CRC)
Pedals: DMR V8s
Wheels: WTB SpeedDisc
Rear Tyre: DMR Moto
Front Tyre: WTB Mutanoraptor
Cassette: Shimano Tiagra 9spd
Rear Mech: Shimano 105 9spd
Shifter: Shimano LX
Chain SRAM PC971 (damn, getting rusty. WINTER! *shakes fist*)
Grips: DMR
Chain Device: Blackspire

Think thats it.

  • WOOO! Another brown bike!

I like that, nice and simples. Does what it says on the tin. You gotta love a bargain.

You could do to give that patio a sweep though, get rid of those leaves, and be careful with that nail under your back tyre.

    Shiny,

Let me know how the sidekick rides, tempted to build one into a competent 2 ring jump/street/trail bike :p

the sidekick is good, a little heavy though. it doesn't have cable guides for a front mech though.

the bikehut bars and stem are older stock, i found them whilst putting together the january sales, hence the price. they are rebranded tioga AFAIK. haven't really ridden the bars, but the stem is good and sturdy, whilst not being overweight.

p.s. yeah, it's probably about time to fix the garden, now the weathers getting better.
