I will like you to assist me with a soft loan urgently with the sum of $ 2,800 Dollars to settle my hotel bills here as i owe the hotel and get myself back home. I will appreciate whatever you can afford. And I promise to pay you back once I get home.

We had one of these a couple of years back. Our rep from Singapore had her private email account hacked, and someone sent out one of these "I'm stuck in Africa, send money urgently" type emails. After ensuring that they weren't in Africa, I responded, and got the name and address of the person "acting as their agent". Details handed over to our Embassy in Kenya... Not sure if anything came of it.
