Was cleaning my bike today and I noticed the rear tyre on my summer bike was looking a bit worse for wear, with one particularly bad looking cut. The tyre has only done 1800 miles, which doesn't sound very much.

Was wondering what sort of mileage other ProRace 3 users are getting?

Wouldn't know about PR3's but I know what you're thinking - why aren't tyres lasting so long these days? Because they're made with ever softer compounds to improve grip and reduce weight. My Stelvio's have both bitten the dust - the rear one got to about 1200 miles before the grip just went completely off.

I looked on the Panaracer website today and after trawling through the partly-translated Japanese version of their site I found details of their predicted mileage. 3,500 for the Extreme Evo 3 and 3,700 for the Extreme Duro! Can't be bad can it?

I just wish the Evo 3's came in GaGa Orange though

Pro3s are full-on race tyres - 1800 miles out of a rear is pretty good, I would say. If you want a mileage tyre, then look at something like the Krylion....

About 2000 miles for me so sounds about right.

+1. I believe the web site says the kilometrage should be 3200. And that's exactly how long my last rear lasted. A bit more for the front, of course.

My rear Pro 3 went to canvass after only 1500 miles.
I'm a little heavy at 88kg and do ride and corner quite hard.
I'm trying Vittoria Diamantes now to see how long they last in comparision.

Interested on how mine will last.
Just fitted my Pro Race 3's this weekend.
The grip when cornering is excellent and they roll really nicely.
Was previosuly using Conti Attack/Force which I took off early to fit onto my CAAD9 bike when it arrives.
I run 100psi in my tyres and I'm under 65kgs.
Will be doing the odd turbo session on them too.

Seems I have got about average mileage out of mine. Looks like it will be a new tyre for me tonight.
