I wanted to write and say thanks to everyone that orgainsed the demoday at at Cannock Chase today!
I was looking at bikes around the £2k mark but was lucky enough to test a Norco LT6.2 and a Scott Genius 20. I was really looking forward to testing the Lapierre X-control (1st bike of the day) and whilst it was good, bike 2, the Norco, was INCREDIBLE!
"I'm converted" I thought! I'll start doing more downhill! So whilst I was trying to justify the extra spend,.Scott offered me the Genius. Knowing that the reviews had been less than sparkling, I was shocked at how direct, light, stable and so damned good this bike was. The twinlock system and rear shock was superb.
Then the Ghost AMR was next. This bike was incredible too, and so now I'm torn between the Scott & the Ghost. If I hadn't attended this day, I would never have considered a £3k+ bike!
