Road bike hire in the Canaries

I'm off to Gran Canaria for a week over easter and looking to hire a road bike a couple of times to keep up with training for a sportive in May. Has anyone hired a bike there? Could you reccommend anywhere? I'm staying at Puerto Rico by the way. Best to bring your own pedals?

    A forum user, I think called Syncronicity, works or owns a bike hire shop in the Canaries (possibly Tenerife) ;)

    There is a shop in Maspalomas, think if you google it should come up. I rented one a cpl of years ago, good bikes and they may deliver to where you are staying.

    The place in Maspalomas (playa des anglais ) has a very large selection of up to date Cannondales. Dropped in there the other week. they also lead out rides on manydays of the week. (Search road cycling gran canaria and you will get there). Alternatively you can down load thier routes. There are some great rides up the mountain and once you have done a couple of fast descents in the south of the island try coming down in the North - where the scenery and vegetation is quite different eg
