I have a T-Mobile contract, and I am now due a new mobile.
I completely forgot about this, so I'm really unprepared.
Current phone is a Nokia N96 (Not too bad).
Options:
Blackberry Curve 8520, or 8900 (I had a Pearl before Nokia - Very good phone).
Blackberry Storm 2.
LG In Touch Max (GW620).
With any of these phones I can also reduce my monthly bill by at least 60%!

Not sure about the LG - Looks a bit dodgy!
Can anyone comment on the Storm 2? I know it's no i-phone, but what is it like to use?

when you say that you know that the storm2 is no iphone...

why don't you just get an iPhone?

I still have my 1st gen one - its a great phone - i'm also a mac user and the integration is superb. Love it.

I have to agree here, the iPhone is simply the best smartphone right now, if not only because of the app store. I had one until I lost it into the sea, using a Nokia 6600 Slide now which I actually prefer, but it's obviously not a smartphone

I've had a nokia 5800 for a while, I'm well impressed - as far as I know there's nothing the iphone does that the 5800 doesn't (except the fancy rotating effect when you turn the phone on its side) and does some things that it doesn't (flash, decent camera, spare bettery).

I'm in a similar situation (coming to the end of contract with an N78). My conclusion i sthat I will stick with the phone and get a SIM only deal with a 30 day call off. The Nokia has GPS, sportstracker, decent camera with flash, card slot that takes 16GB card for music, normal headphone socket for decent headphones, WiFi, I already have spare chargers and in-car charger and the killer - sat nav with maps on the phone so you can use it when away from 3G reception.

Saying that the chap above sounds like he has a great deal from T Mobile - 100 mins anytime plys incl texts and internet for a tenner - bargain!

You could always get the new contract and sell the phone on if that will make you money.

^^^^ T-Mobile are about to take over Orange, so there are some good 'new' deals coming up, now.
I can have the same deal as last year, which cost £35 per month, for +/- £10 if I take out (then cancel) a 30 day rolling contract...

Yes, they do three: The LG Touch Max, Samsung Galaxy and a G2 (HTC, I think).
    But what's best? I don't want to get a dud! :?

dont you have a t mobile shop in No-folk?

i looked at the lg and the samsung- the lg won as it was more compact and had the slidey keyboard which is much better to use than an on screen k/board

i didnnt look at the htc as it didnt get great reviews

I have BB Curve and love it, but having had a go on a HTC I'm getting one of them next. Good big screen and a proper keypad. Happy days.

I had a BB Pearl before the Nokia N96, and I thought it was a great phone. Pearls no longer available :(
I think it'll be between the BB Bold and either LG or Samsung android...

I have a blackberry curve - can't recommend it enough. Not only was it dropped in a mug of tea but also got to know the toilet a little too well and still works. Oh and its a great phone too! I'll be getting the 9700 for my next upgrade.

Thats a great deal. How did you manage that? I'm just on the t-mobile site but see nothing close. Did you get the mobile for free too?

    Yep... free mobile, too!

Waas £15, but to get it cheaper, you take out a 30 day 'rolling' contract (£10 pm), then cancel it, costing a tenner! Bit gimmicky, but worth it.
