    no I tend to just drift along (though the parks) in thought good way of getting sorted before work and winding down after.

    In fact I don't commute. I ride TTproglogues, sprint finishies, climbs and stages of a Tour to work.

    I do that but with the one-day races. Every bad road surface is Flanders, every tarmac hill is L-B-L, every single track road is Gent–Wevelgem, every traffic island or roundabout is the Amstel Gold, and one of the ways home from work is the sprint at the end of Milan-San Remo.
