Trophy Sportive ?

Hi everybody,

I'm considering a 'main event' type sportive this year, meaning one that will be the focus of my training leading up to it and will be a real trophy type sportive in the same way that 'La Marmotte' is for anybody doing it. I would have considered La Marmotte' but think I'm too late.

You know what I'm looking for. The one that you put the photo of on your desk (after moving away the kids photos) and brag about for years ! :D .

Does anybody have any suggestions ?

I wouldn't mind if it was a multiday event and had considered the Pendragon Sportives London to Monaco, but don't really have the full 10 days for this (or the £2,000 + it would cost).

    Thanks owenlars. I was looking at that one. It seems very good, and I may do it, but I'm not sure it fits the bill as the trophy sportive just because it doesn't have the 'wow' factor.

    I am thinnking of doing it anyway, but it was something like La Marmotte or maybe L'Etape Du Tour' I was thinking of. I was wondering if there was anything else.
