Hi All,

I bought one of these off ebay at the end of last year and I've just got round to fitting it as the weather is better. I can't get it to fit on either my campag record or tune hub.

It appears to be too wide and the lockring does not reach.

I've mailed andrewg1683 on ebay but he's not interested in sending me a refund.

Has anyone else bought one of these and did you manage to get it to fit?

  • I would send it back! if it doesn't go onto your Record 9s hub, then it is not "as described", which it must be, under the Sale of Goods Act. I would go for a genuine Campagnolo cassette. The 9 speed Veloce is still available.

I've asked to send it back but the guy is not interested.

Because I waited until the weather was better until I fitted it I missed the 45 day deadline from ebay (that I didn't know existed) so ebay are not interested either.

I'm considering a small claims against the guy.

I've only heard good things about effe in the past.

How much would you sell it for (I have a friend who can skim a bit off if I need)?

    Hi

I found a campagnolo lockring instead of the supplied alloy ring and this now means I can fit the cassette. I've not tried it out yet as I've just fitted a centaur cassette after the guy I bought it off was not prepared to help.

I'm not sure what to do with it now but it is incredibly light :)

How much would you pay for it?
