Am I hallucinating, or is this common sense from a motoring organisation?

  • I've a lot of time for the IAM.

Everyone here at work who drives on company business has to do their half day defensive driving course, and, similar to cycle training, it really changed the way I drive. If only everyone who had a car did it (different from the full IAM course) the roads would be a lot safer.

A friend (post speeding fine) had to do a DD course it does change your attitude. Until today I didn't realise IAM dealt with cyclists. Big hand to them.

  • I am an observer for the motorcycle section of the IAM, and the rumours going about is they want to start a cycle section
,training cyclists defensive riding, weather it comes to anything I dont know. They are now part of DVLA, and having a goverment body representing and behind cyclists cant be a bad thing. From their point of view membership has been dropping and this is another area for them to increase their members list.
