Wow!... What a start to my leave.
Bright sunshine, dry roads, bit of a breeze :D
Shame I only had 1 1/2 hours to spare :(
No overshoes, no winter jacket, just a sleeveless base below a L/S jersey and tights... I almost went for shorts
If it's like this tomorrow, I'm going to break out the Cinelli :D:D:D
I can hardly contain my excitement

I might even go for a walk along the beach, after lunch :D

It's great, isn't it! I went out yesterday on the new bike - shorts/knee warmers, no overshoes and just mitts. I foolishly wore my winter jacket tho and was boiling (I don't have a nice spring weight jacket so need to go shopping.)

I rode past a field of newborn lambs, all bleating loudly. Ahhh, things that make you smile on your bike. :D

The Cinelli can stay under wraps tomorrow - rain due in, should be hitting you at about bike ride o'clock :(

Damn, this temp is a shock, I'm boiling alive!

Still gonna wear my arm warmers and leg warmers today, I have to wear leg warmers to cover the under layer and I need to wear the under layer cause if I don't my arse will be showing as my shorts have holes in them.
  • Winter kit to be stubbornly warn until the clocks go back... Summer rotation then comes into service. That's when the rainy season ususally begins up here anyway.

  • This morning I wore: long tights, a merino base layer, a long-sleeved jersey on top, a waterproof jack on top of that. Plus my winter gloves.

I was so wet when I got to work that I might as well have been out in the rain (I guess my bike was cleaner than it would have been if it had been raining). I'm definitely reducing the number of layers tomorrow.

    Woo-hoo - spring's here!
Never be tempted to race against a Barclays Cycle Hire bike. If you do, there are only two outcomes. Of these, by far the better is that you now have the scalp of a Boris Bike.

It took ages for me to make my mind up as to what to wear on my afternoon ride yesterday. I eventually went out in bib tights, summer jersey, spring/autumn jacket and fingerless mitts.

Great day, headwind was on me most of the time but it was mild,it feels so good to just have a jersey on again with no layers.

Just done a short 20km (first ride after a stomach bug) - 14 degrees here but a decent wind and a dry road. In my bib-shorts for the first time this year with a short sleeve base and a long sleeve jersey - quite pleasant :)

To put things in perspective, it was this warm plus in Majorca when I was there at Christmas. When I flew back on 30/12 it was 14 deg C at 7am

Bib shorts, S/S jersey and arm/leg warmers with fingerless mitts and no overshoes here. I think it might rain tomorrow so I'll add a gilet to keep some of it off - I don't mind getting my arms and legs wet as long as it isn't cold.

Rode to work yesterday and today in shorts, still got winter jacket on though. Plenty warm enough down ere in Devon. Trouble is, its now p@~sing down so I think I might regret the lack ofleg coverage for the ride home
