Hi
Thanks for reading.
I think I have shortlisted these two as being best choice for me.
6feet 7 inch 250lbs
Riding Cannondale Super 6
Based in UK
Riding to work 1 hour ,3 hours at weekend, occasional triathlon and sportive.
Want to keep same brake blocks for SLs and Carbon.
Like the idea of clincher.
Has anyone experience of these two wheels please?
Do I have to go for the Clydsdale Zipps as I believe they are much heavier?
Thanks
Steve

Zipps for cycling to work??? And like the idea of clinchers?
Well if you can organise a support car for the morning and evening commute then I'd definitely get tubular 404's0 -
Your a bit big for the ZIPPS at 250lbs Dura Ace is the safer betRacing is life - everything else is just waiting0

You could get away with the Clydesdale Zipps, they aren't much heavier at all as it's only the spoke count that's different but, well, I wouldn't use race only wheels for commuting!0

Forget the Zipps for daily use. They won't hold up and are WAY too expensive for that.
Dura Ace might be OK.
Also look at Mavic Cosmic Carbon SL - they are clinchers and can handle a heavier rider.
Failing all that - look at handbuilt wheels - you'll get something much more suited to your size and the type of riding you want to do. And will probably cost you about the same.0 -
Thanks everybody
Looks like Dura Ace has won the day
Will let you know how they are doing
Thanks
