Out with the old or upgrade Marin? help...please

Hello I have a 10 year old Marin Palisades, served me well but should I fix it up/upgrade or buy a shiny new bike for about £700. Marin is not in bad condition but new wheels,tyres brakes, gears at least.
So fix up the Marin (that would be relatively expensive??)
Or new bike
Cube
or
Boardman
or
Rockhopper
Needs to be good on road as well as off.
