Giant Rapid 1 vs Boardman Hybrid Pro

Hi there, i'm a mountain biker looking at these two bikes and as a result know nothing of spec involved in road bikes.

Is there a sizeable difference between the two? Are they generally equal or otherwise? Havent tried either and I realise that fit will be important.

Stoo, I have a Boardman and a Giant (see sig) so I can probably be fairly unbiased on brands, but I haven't ridden the Giant that you're looking at. There probably isn't much in it but I reckon the Boardman edges it on spec. If you can get a leg over both then do, though Halfords probably won't let you do more than run it around the sales floor...

Oh, and I like my Pro Hybrid - very good little commuter
