Penhydd to Close

Been to Afan to ride the Penhydd this afternoon. Good News and bad news.

Hidden Valley is now fuly open

But car park bloke has informed me that the Penhydd is to close in the middle of April for about a year due to massive tree felling ops.

He also said it probably won't be the Penhydd as we know it when it reopens so enjoy it while we can.
I wear Lycra because I like the way it feels

    No way! Not my fave trail, but it's the one I crashed on that put me out the game for 8 months (and counting) I'll be damned if I'm letting it get away with that!

    I'll have to bring my recovery plans forward

    Bad news :(

    I hope none of the felling will effect Hidden Valley, that's one of my favourite sections of trail anywhere!

    Oh it was nice today, just sticky enough for the tyres to really dig :) in

    That is my fave trail, will have to make a trip there before April, why do they need a year!

    I guess more trips will be to Cwmcarn this summer, it's not good there as there is about 5 spots where it's un-rideable that need you get off bike to get over high rocks and deep tree roots :x

    Nightmare! I'm planning my first trip to Afan on the 16th April and I was well excited about Penhydd :x

    Gutted - by far my favourite trail. Had an awesome time there on Saturday.

    White's is the best but it's still a good trail. It will be missed.
    It's easier to ask for forgiveness than for permission.
