Can anyone recommend me some armwarmers.
Looked at a few brands but don't know whether it's worth paying extra for Assos ones, or just going for a cheap Decathlon pair.
Anyone favour certain materials over others?

If you do go for Assos you won't be disapointed. The quality is great and they hold their shape really well without strethching like some other makes.0

+ they come in different sizes, so if you have skinny arms like I have, the small ones stay up!0 -
I only have decathlon ones, never had any probs with them falling down, and they've always been warm enough.0

The first knee warmers I got were decathlon and they were pants! Looked like Nora Batty after 10 minutes.
I have some Specialized arm warmers which are superb and some Santini knee warmers which are also excellent. I'd go to Prendas every time.0 -
OK thanks for the replys.
I have quite skinny arms so a bit concerned about them staying up. Noticed the Assos ones come in size 0 (previously thought it was only I and II) so will probably go for that size if I settle for the Assos ones.
Bit pricy but probably worth it in the long run!0 -
I got my assos ones for £20 and they are size S/M and tight on me.
I can't imagine why they are better than cheap ones!
They are disposable type things as far as I am concerned. Buy cheap until you can try some on.0 -

I recently got Castelli Thermoflex ones, they're great. And my arms are extremely skinny and they seem to hold up perfectly. And are long for their size so if you have long skinny arms like me.0 -
Have had my Assos arm warmers for 20 years- that pays for a lot of cheaper ones!0

I'd pay the premium for the likes of Assos because they last so much longer - my Assos ones are 8 years old and still stay put- I bought a couple of pairs of Santini but they simply don't stay up and have gone baggy in half the time, plus a pair of Gore leg warmers have simply unravelled in that time also. Picked up a complete set of Pearl Izumi recently and they're nicely made, with silicone grippers inside and outside.Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0

Gotta say that the Decathlon arm & leg warmers I own have been terrific and way better than the more expensive Spesh ones I have.Cannondale Supersix / CAAD9 / Boardman 9.0 / Benotto 30000

I've got some Decathlon arm warmers which have been fine for the few times I've worn them. Picked them up for next to nothing in France a few years ago ... I also got knee warmers which have also been fine. They're not enormously thick but fine in spring autumn. If the price premium to a better brand is small it's probably worth making the leap up though. My cycling blog: http://girodilento.com/0

Think I'll try the decathlon ones for £9 - can't really go wrong for that price. If I feel they're not up to much I can always buy a better pair in the autumn.0
