The Boras are £348.00 more but are they better? Is it worth paying for the branding? There seems to be a supply problem with Gigantex at the moment and the season is starting...

Seeing as they're the same rim (apprantly) I'd say it's a no brainer. You'll have enough money left over to shod the Gigantex's with handmade silk tubs

Didn't know they were the same rims. Maybe that is why there is a shortage, they've all gone to Italy.

If you can afford them, I'd go for the Boras - Campagnolo carbon rims are made by Corima in France. The other rims worth paying extra for a Edge - pricey tho.
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

Boras, I would go for. If I ever have money, I am going to get a Orbea Orca with Super Record and Boras! :)

Sorry my mistake I misread this on Wheelsmith's website:

"Ultralight versions (360g) coming in also. Same spec, same weight as Campag Bora Ultra 2 rims but can be built lighter for HALF the price!"

I assumed they were the same - but he's saying that the Gigantex ones are the same but different!

I'm not convinced that the Campag will better quality but they are Campag so there is a bit of a brand addiction. They would also be a lot more blingy.

A wheelmaker who has repaired Boras and says they are the same rims as the wheels he makes using Gigantex. I haven't compared for my self which is why I used the word apparently.
