What Colour Bar Tape ?

Got a new FI:ZI:K Seat and from the image below im sure you will all agree my Ribble looks stunning :D

BUT the bar tape is letting it down, so its time to replace but what coulor ?

    If you're at the "what colour bar tape?" stage, you've finally hit the pink and fluffy side and may as well start discussing moisturiser and hand cream with the rest of the roadies....

    Black is the only colour. If you've let the blue tape get that shabby looking, then how long is it going to look smart with the only other two reasonable alternatives; the aforementioned white or lime green.

    (If you must do lime green, get it on, take the photos and then immediately replace with black!)

    Mind you, what is it with modern white tape that it does go so scruffy. The original white tape on my 20 year old tourer still looks fine......

    Nice.

    In a couple of months that bike will have had more rebuilds and servicing than most bikes get in five years :)

    green to match saddle stripe, but you need matching tyres as well! I think there are some Schwalbes on offer at Planet X that would be perfect.

    See, coloured hoods are a brilliant idea but I wish they'd do them for all the Shimano groupsets rather than just the top-end ones. I'd love to indulge in some hood colouring malarkey without having to change my Tiagra shifters.

    Was talking about this with Roasite... reckon it's gonna be SRAM for the next bike, then it's coloured hoods a-go-go.

    There is a few rules one must try to follow:

    1.Bar tape much match the saddle
    2. Black and white are the only acceptable bar tape and saddle choices
    3. Pro team bikes don't need to follow 2. but should follow 1
    4. Anything goes on a hack bike

    Green, and get a scotch-guard spray from a shoe shop and scotch-guard it as soon as you've put it on - should keep it greener for longer.

    Red would make your bike 0.014% faster than any other colour (and that is a symo made up fact) but to match the seat it has to be green,

    I was going to say pink with pink tyres and seat. But seeing as you have green on your seat, then yeah Prince is once again correct.

    I'd probably try and source some green tyres though.

    I kind of think having matching tyres, saddles, bar tape ec is a bit like having furniture at home thats all made of the same wood. Very dull and actually a bit sh t.
