Is it a simple decision?

It's not like for like mate. Pro 3 Race should surely be compared with Open Corsa's surely?
Anyway I like Vittoria tyres. Never had an issue with them. Diamante's may be a good compromise of quality and durability.0 -
Pro 3s are lovely. I wouldn't use anything else.
However, I've never used the Vittorias so can't compare, just enthuse about the Michelins.0 -

Surely it's more "Vittoria Rubino Pro or Michelin Krylion"?
Or "Vittoria open tubulars vs Michelin PR3's"?
Nice to hear the Diamante's getting praise - was thinking that a bike equipped with Campag, Deda and Selle Italia should have some Vittorias. Do they really wear slower than the Open Corsas?0 -
It's a very simple decision0

As someone else has said not really like for like. I would go for the pro racers 3 for spring/summer and the rubinos are an excellent tough tyre for all year round riding.x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x

my experience of the pro race 3s is they puncture easily and I found the tyres pretty difficult to get on. However when on they roll superbly you just need to use em on good roads and in good conditions0

the only similarity between the Rubino Pro and the Mich Pro 3 is that they both have the word 'pro' in the name.
One is essentially a training/general riding tyre - and a very good one at that, while the other is a full-on race tyre...
I have a set of Rubino Pros on my winter bike, and a set of Pro 3s hanging up waiting for a few mid-summer crits. It all depends what kind of riding you are doing...0 -

Come on Softlad you don't honestly mean to say you mix and match companies
Surely you'd go for the Diamantes or Open Corsas alongside Rubino Pros? The Open Corsas appear to get particularly favourable write-ups with regards to road racing. Next thing you know, someone will be saying they use Shimano road pedals on a bike with Campag Super Record 11............0 -
