thinking of getting 105's for my winter bike just wondering if the 2010 ones come with the internal cabling for both gears and brakes like the new dura ace ones do???????

Are you sure you want 105s?

There have been a lot of threads on here about 105 failures. You may want to do a search and maybe look at other options.
  • The new 105 levers will have internal cables, but there will be compatability issues with the older 10 speed equipment. I would only go for them if you're going for a whole new groupset.
  • 2011 105 is cables under the bar tape. Compatability will be no issue On current 105 the failures have been cured with a new Left hand lever that is double or triple specific

If the new 105 shifters have gone down the same route as the 6700 and 7900 (with different cable pull ratio for the front mech, which seems likley) then they`ll still work fine with the older 10 speed stuff. I`m using 6700 shifters and front and rear mech with "old" 105 chainset with no probs at all (don`t like the look of the new 6700 chainset so bought 105 instead)
