hi i have a 19 inch rockhopper with hydraulic disc brakes front and rear.i have taken it to a local bike shop but they dont do hydraulic brake.when i pull the lever for the front it pulls all the way to bar and bareley stops when pulled that far.i wondered if anyone could tell me if its a simple diy fix or should i take it to another bike shop(the nearest being 15m away)any advice will be gratefully received.

sounds like a service and bleed is needed.

depends on what the brake is.

find a better LBS or buy the kit you need to do it yourself.

The kit is expensive (£30 or so) but simple to use if you follow the instructions and the results are excellent. highly recommended piece of kit for all Avid owners.
