Guys,

Really new to cycling having bought a mountain bike in January. I now want t raod bike and have narrowed it down to 3 (well 4) bikes. Any help would be really appreciated:

Cannondale CAAD8 Sora £649
Scott Speedster S50 £599
Spesh Secteur Sport £649

Leftfield choice but I just love the look of it is a Cube Aerial at £669

I am going to try them all for a fitting but any tips, recommendations are most welcome (including other obvious bikes that I have missed).

I’ll be riding the bike purely for fun/fitness, no intention of ever racing, most rides between 20 and 50 miles.

Thanks

2010 Trek 1.5 Compact
Now to diet, get fit and lose at least 3 stone!!! (2 of the 3 stone now lost...)

I have put the Cube as ‘Leftfield’ as it is not necessarily the most immediate choice for a beginner. Likewise the specs may not be as good as that from mainstream manufacturers.

Well, I tried the bikes in various shops and ended up getting a Trek 1.5C!
