Does anyone know where to get the best deal on the Edge 705 + HRM + Cadence? It's £270 on www.handtec.co.uk (although not in stock atm)

Also need Europe mapping and will probably buy DVD, although bundles didn't seem to save much adding this so might dither about it for a while.

Pricey things these Garmins

How do i get a link to a photo in here?!

They were the cheapest when I bought mine. I don't know if they still are.
    Service was excellent.
There are map alternatives if you know what I mean. I agree the maps are ridiculously priced.

What you mean out of stock?!
It's pay day this week, it can't be! Been watching it, admiring it, drooling over it over the past 2 weeks, and now, it's OUT OF BLOOMING STOCK!

The cheek of them, I'm telling you!

Right, to asnwer the original question (but you can probably extrapolate from my reaction) I haven't found, bar on ebay, any better offer anywhere :(

That said, I had a look at my friend wiggle.
They're 340, but with the Europe Map SD (RRP 80£, can be found for 60 for genuine 2010 maps)

So doesn't sound so bad :)

I'd rather go for the 500 than the 205 tbh.
    And maybe even the 605.

Handtec do always seem to come out cheapest. FWIW, when i ordered mine they were out of stock, but got it within a week. They are always getting new stock in, just sell out of it quickly because their prices are good.

I got mine from Handtec - excellent service.

You dont need to buy a map as there are loads of free maps available that you simply copy to the device and off you go.

  • Got mine off of eBay for £270 including delivery. Had the hrm, cadence and euro sd maps. You can copy the euro map from the sd to your computer and then use it in all the garmin software.
