You totally deleted a post, not even a 'Post Removed' left remaining. Is a 'Tourer' not a road bike?! I'm only trying to give people a chance to buy a part that they may require and although not everyone wants everything someone may be extremely please to see it. If 'Touring' bike items are not right for this section of the classified ads a polite and civil notification and re-direction to the appropriate classified section would be appreciated. Thanks.

I didn't personally delete the ad so can't comment directly on this.
We're going to start clearing up the 'post deleted' posts soon - there's only so many times you can try and tell people how to construct a proper advert.
Thanks!

was the advert a copy and past of yesterdays Hub advert?
yes that got removed."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

It was that hub but a new, different advert. I was, with good intention, trying to put it in the most relevant place for people who may have wanted to buy it. To totally delete it was very rude and way over the top. And if touring bike stuff is not allowed where does that leave other road bike adaptations like triathlon, audax, cycle speedway, cyclo cross?Bikes, saddles and stuff

You are missing the point. It wasn't the placement of the advert in question more the point you already had it advertised so didnt need another advert.0

I thought that as they can't be bumped they had to be written again, which I was doing in a more relevant section.
Can we have some clarification: can they be written only one time? If not, how long must we wait before writing them again?
How about allowing 1 bump per week? (Or 1 every certain amount of days).Bikes, saddles and stuff

interesting topic, both sides seem to have a point to be fair, perhaps one of a very few catch 22's??!! live and let live,... and here's another bump, with HEAPS of coverage!!
Play fair now...

No bumps, no rewritings.
The way it's supposed to work is this:
User posts an advert once, following the rules laid out.
Another user buys the item.
Original user notes it as sold, and uses the Report Post function to tell us the advert's no longer needed.
We delete the advert.
That way, the only topics in there are active adverts, and the lower number of topics means bumping is utterly unnecessary. If only it did work that nicely...0 -
Thanks.
What about in my situation when I just wanted it to be in a different classified section?Bikes, saddles and stuff
