Ok Ladies and Gents
My beloved happy shopper/my mums/joblot special tyres, that I have done maybe 1000+ on has packed up on me, the side is starting to tear and shred,

MY question is...what tyres should i go for next? I do some xc riding, like keilder water, gravel/loose stone tracks, pavement, and bridleways, WHat do you guys reccomend as a decent tyre? Sometimes the thickets/brambles hit the sides of my bike.so something wiht flimsey/thin walls not reccomended?
I was looking at the Bontrager LT3 or the continental traffic

the tyre must be between the 2.0-2.1 i dont want bigger chunkyer ball breakers

Conti Traffics are a great tyre and can dig in very well, they're just heavy. I replaced mine with Michelin XC Hard Terrain (a 2.0) and for more grip, Michelin XC All Terrain (probably you) I've got 1.85 and 2.0. Those are my day to day runabout tyres.

    thx m8 looking now,
aslo....with me being a shall we say a lager lad? twin ruckscaks on front nad back and all...!
would it make any differance on the quality of the tire? ie with a softwall am i mor elikely to cut and fray the walls over a harder wall tyre?

as far as I'm aware that 'pair' is a CRC price fook up.

if you're heavier, load up on baggage and tend to be a clumsy rider you might want to go for something a bit beefier. Actually, if you're not arsed about weight the Traffics are a good option, tough as old boots.

all of the above m8 LOL!
I will be attemping the coast to coast later this year amongst other long hauls, so i need something really durable, but also something thats not so heavy,
I will probably have a panier on back of bike with stuff on too

michelin xc dry 2. or the xcr if you want a bit more toughness over weigt, but ive been using the 2.0" xc version on my ht for a while now at around 40psi and im 16 stone and ive never touched them, very fast on road/hard pack, there lightish and cope well in the wet but not to good on wet roots.
