i have a specilized hardrock 09 and have enjoyed riding mbr now i go more offen i was a better spec bike can i have some sugestions on rides thanks,

opps silly me as you can see im still new, i mainly do XC but would like to give DH a try but as i live in a flat area were the highest hill is a speed bump i better stay with XC any idears thanks

Not sure a budget of £400 to £600 would give you much of an improvement, especially given that the higher end Hardrock 10 models fall within that price range.

Which 09 hardrock model do you have? Might be better placed spending on some sensible upgrades or otherwise increase your budget.

Could be worth buying a decent frame then swapping the bits over, upgrading anything you really need to as you go.

ok excuss the pun but what would you call a good frame (hardtail) thats better than my 09 hardrock thanks

The Hardrock is rather heavy and the frame is a deciding factor of the bike's weight and also the comfort level of the bike.

A decent frame will enable you to ride faster, further (with less fatigue) and be more comfortable. It will also give you a good base to upgrade as you ride.
