Everytime I turn on my Garmin 705 it asks me questions, the language, do I have a powermeter etc? It neve rused to do this but has done for the last couple of months. Is there anyway of telling it not to ask these questions at start-up and just get on with finding the satellites?
Any help appreciated.

Sounds like it's going KIA, you may need to return it to Garmin

Recommend e-mail to garmin, usually get a quick reply and like my problem could be a dead easy fix.

Turn on, go into settings, accessories and check what you`ve got selected there. Mine says HRM "yes" coz I use one, Cadence sensor "yes" coz I use one, then Power Meter "no" . Try this, it may stop it looking for it.

maybe a hardware fault, but you could try doing a hard reset first just in case it got confused...

with the unit off, hold down the mode button and turn it on

after a delay it'll ask if you want to erase data, say 'yes' and it'll return to factory default

i don't think this wipes out saved rides, but if you've got any saved and you want to be sure, then transfer them to a computer first

:D This seems to have stopped it for the time being - many thanks. Although I'd done this during during set-up it seemed to be looking for a cadence sensor that has never been used.
If it comes back i'll try the hard reset thing.
