ok. first off, i did not resurrect it from the dead. Its just a bike. i shall tell ye a tale...

It started out life as a good old claud butler cape wrath. It was so tidy and neat and lovely...

Then i got some 302 toras... which are a bit nicer than the suntours, but to be honest i could hardly tell the difference when riding....
then one day... i bought a 2006 kona stuff frame and started to build it up...

...and now its finished. :D 8)

I would like some new wheels, DJ3s, a pisspot helmet and some 661 gloves... but im temporarily impoverished... so its toras, a peakless mtb helmet and a pair of ill fitting gloves for now :)
And the orange tape is because i couldn't find my cable ties :P

Thanks for looking, id appreciate a bit of feedback, suggestions etc...
aand while im here,
my spokes keep coming loose
and when i put my front brake on hard i hear a loud 'ting'! sound...
any solutions? :D

If your spokes keep coming loose, the wheels probably aren't built properly.
And the ting sound might be the little wirel bit inside the caliper, that you get with the pads, hitting the disc, if your pads are worn down a lot

    Great bike btw :D

I got a Son of "Frankie" too! Norco Bigfoot frame, rigid kona forks, broken Thudbuster, roadies saddle, Tomac bar, with...bar ends! Race face stem, Deore joint brake/gear levers, Deore the rest. Hope rear, Sram fron hub, etc, etc...

Sound like crap, but rides great for quiet lanes, not too technical trails, roads.

    Thanks guys!
Splottboy, yeah this sort of bike kicks ass. managed to pick up the frame, headset, seatpost, clamp, handlebars and chain device all for £55!
although theres always the niggle... have i ruined a great XC/AM bike or created an awesome jump/freeride hardtail?? :S

James, it turns out theres either something wrong with the fork, or the wheel...i have discovered that it makes the sound whenever i put pressure on the front of the forks... :S
Also, i've tighten all the spokes alot, so should stay put for now. :D
