Im still pretty new to cycling, did a few go races and 2/3/4 races last year etc! I didnt realise that with regards to the licence you had to renew every January, I joined BC in July and so assumed the licence ran until then! Anyway realised thats not the case and ordered my new licence about a week ago! The licence still hasnt come! Hoping to do my first race of the year this sunday at Llandow, however will I still be able to ride if the licence hasnt turned up! Im sure Ive read on here before that if you print something off and take that with you its sufficient??
Thanks

Phone BC up - they are very good like this and will give you your licence number over the phone - maybe now they can send you something to print . Also contact the organiser and explain the situation - bottom line is it can be sorted for Sunday because I've known other people do the same even though I'm not sure exactly what BC did to clear it.
it's a hard life if you don't weaken.0 -
My licence came within a day (but I asked for it to be sent directly to me).
But usually your licence gets sent to your club secretary I think? Might want to check with them first.
used to work at BC doing just this sort of thing and the licences are usually sent out the same day you order it.
And yes - BC can send you an email to print off stating you have your licence.
Licences run January to December - memberships run 12 months from when you buy them. Only thing is - if you buy a licence for the year - you have to have a membership up until the end of the year at least. I assume they made you 'top up' your membership to the end of the year?0 -

Yes they did! Im sure I had it quicker than this last year aswell, Im not sure, perhaps it has gone to the club secretary again and thats why its taking so long! Will have to give bc a ring now0
