If so what is it riding like.

I was there at the beginning of February and I should have had a snowboard.

Is there still loads of snow?

Was there today - still a lot of snow on the Spooky Woods descent. Fun in places, but a bit too deep to ride in some. On balance, I think I would rather have skipped it and doen 2 loops of the next series of descents instead - all of whcih were clear.

Rode the red route on Tuesday as said spooky wood descent has a bit of snow here and there at the top + the ascent to it has ice on the fireroads, but the rest of it is very dry considering the sh!t weather we've had for the last 3 months.

I went to Glentress for my first time last Sunday - first trail centre in fact, and really enjoyed it.
Was surprised at how full the bottom car park was when we rolled up at about half eleven - only just squeezed on, but quite quiet when out on the trail. Found it bloody hard work going up (yes, unfit! need more saddle time). But excellent on way down although missed the turn for last part of blue run, pah!
Haven't stopped thinking about it since, and want to go back soon...

It's about to snow again  Apparently parts of the boundary trail are still under crazy localised snowdrifts from last time, that's mad tbh, there'll be snow in there that's 3 months old.

I was at GT yesterday, was a good days ride. I'm supposed to be doing Inners on Tuesday but I might head to the shelter of Drumlanrig if the weather is really bad.

Minch Moor in a snow storm would not be much fun!

Just got back from Glentress and it was horrible!!!

One of the muddiest ever times I have ridden there. Was covered in a thick layer of mud litterally head to toe.

Too top it off it was sleeting the whole time :(

Was still great fun though, just quite a shock after almost perfect trail conditions on Friday (slightly damp) and then go and ride in a storm

Was out on my motorbike past Carron Valley at the weekend and it looked pretty busy. Judging by the snow round the Central(ish) belt today the trail centres are going to be under a load of snow now. :(
    Why so serious?

Bugger. Not what I wanted to hear

Seriously, the snow this winter has really pished me off. I'm longing for a summer of GT every weekend and midweek, light evening training rides up the forests at the back of my house (which are also currently under a foot or so of snow!).

    Keep an eye on this

    http://7stanes.blogspot.com/

Basically it's closed just now. And I'd believe that, Andy doesn't usually mess around with these (I loved the one after Christmas, "Spooky Woods is open but you will have to push up, and probably down as well")

But hopefully it'll melt fast and any dropped trees will be easy to bypass.

Don`t know directly BUT judging from winterhighland webcams of Cairngorms, http://www.winterhighland.info/cams/cai ... orlich.php ( Loch Morlich at 1000ft), / fact it was 20c in Highlands yesterday very much doubt if there` s any snow left on any hills below 2000ft; there has been very considerable snow melt in Scotland hills last few days...
I`m off to Glentrees Friday so too would like an on the spot trail conditions report :D

GT was nice & hot today! :D No snow at all on the trails - just a couple of patches here & there at the side of the trail right up top near Spooky Wood.

However, there is loads of broken trees/branches lying at the side of the trails following the storms; huge respect to the guys that got the trails back in shape after that, as it was obviously a massive job going by the amount of stuff lying at the side of the tracks (that had obviously been ON the track at one point).

Best day I've had at GT since last summer. And I flew down those trails today, even if I do say so myself!
