An apology to Nick Louse and anyone else who was offended

I'm sorry if my post yesterday offended you or anyone else. That seriously wasnt my intention.

Having viewed the forums many time before I didnt see any problem with linking to the youtube video. Given the picture of the Mexican race crash that is often posted, plus the recent threads on Facebook hatred, I thought a link with a warning would be sufficient.

Sorry again.

  • downfader, I can only speak for myself but I read your post, together with your warning about its contents, and decided that I didn't want to visit. (It hasn't been a good week for cycling safety in London.)

So, from my point of view, you gave enough of a warning and anyone who read it and went on to watch did so aware that the content would be shocking. I find it hard to see why others would find your post shocking or offensive. Bike Radar may have a policy about not hosting such links and I can understand that, yet I don't see any need for you to apologise.

Unless, of course, there's something in the terms and conditions already about such material. If that's the case then I've not been aware of it.

    What have I missed?
  • Yeah, what did I miss?
Never be tempted to race against a Barclays Cycle Hire bike. If you do, there are only two outcomes. Of these, by far the better is that you now have the scalp of a Boris Bike.

Some dopey commuter getting blown away by a roadie out on a fun ride who was eating a banana and changing the tune on his ipod at the same time and thought that the commuter was street furniture and emptied his nose out as he went by. The commuter took umbrage at this and tried to catch the roadie but had a heart attack and died on the spot. Funniest video I have seen in ages  .

It sounds funny until the dying bit, then not so funny.

Agreed, not funny but you clearly didn't have bad intentions - so we are still all mates....

I dont know what the video was about, youtube pulled it, I was trying to goad some of the commuters that have invaded Cakestopland recently. I didnt seek to offend anyone, well, other than the commuters.

It was a schocking video and I am glad the thread got deleted.

Fancy anyone having the nerve to post a film of a mountain biker riding with a gel saddle and trainers on a road bike forum.

    I nearly threw up.

I saw a "roadie" way ahead, so I got my hairy Mtb legs going...fast.
Quite a hill from Menai Bridge to Britannia Bridge, so got into "race" mode.

    Close...pant, closer...puff-pant...real close now...wheez, puff, pant!!

Got to a few feet away and saw,
an old man, with a flat cap on, wearing carpet slipper.

Still took him and left him for, dea...sorry, dust.
