I am looking for a new bike..I have in the region of £1K to spend on it but I am a heavy rider (265Ib) the hard tails i have tried so far seem just overly soft in the front suspension.
Can anyone giving me any ideas of what I should be looking at. Not planning on doing much other than some trail work.

The bikes you've looked at probably have coil sprung forks and you'll find air sprung ones more suitable for your needs.0

Absolutely. Even if coil sprung, a good shop will sort the spring.0
