Back in my day 3 was normal. Must be all the dumbing down [where did I leave my pipe and slippers?]

I'd say 3 or 4 is normal these days, I'm probably going to drop German after AS and do 5 A2s

Ah, 6 AS levels, makes more sense (congrats by the way).

I did 5 A levels and it was flat out, had to teach myself most of one subject.

German teachers are trying to get me to stick with 6 A levels but in all honesty I don't know if i can be arsed! Further maths is a hell of a lot of work

I'm having to teach myself a lot of Physics, one of our teachers is perpetually in and out of hospital and the replacement is a joke.

A level physics is/was pretty easy I found. Degree level though...

As in the other thread, I did get bored. Prodding things, setting stuff on fire and creating clouds of steam is great, as is messing with deadly radioactive sources - but squiggly equations ;-)

Yeah yeah it is, it's really just what GCSE should have been IMO!

Must have taken some effort! I'm poor at teaching myself things, especially when it comes to maths. I think it might just be because i'm lazy!

It did, and I didn't do that well (C overall, really struggled with further mechanics, which was 50% of the grade). But, I think it was good preparation for later years at uni and PhD, self-motivation is a huge factor at that point.

Genau ;) Seit die 7. Klasse, also 4.5 Jahren.

But so is Swedish and french and, heres one you won't have heard of dzonga (first one to tell me where that is the main language gets a prize)

Anyway, just because its useful elsewhere doesn't mean you go and learn it.

Ja bestimmt! Ich habe gelesen, dass Leute, die Mathe oder Physik A-Level haben, verdienen durchschnittlich 17% mehr in der Lebensarbeitszeit.
