    The bunch was still split with 8 km to go, couldn't really see whether both got together... some sprinters probably in the second peloton or without time to get to the front.

    My PTP theory that Boonen isn't sprinting so well and that the hilly circuit would favour Hushovd proved useless. The Belgian looks quite tasty for MSR now.

    I don't think so. Boonen wasn't far off in 2006, when he was 4th at MSR then won the other two.

    I would say he looks stronger than the other favourites at the moment for all three races, would be pretty amazing if he did!

    Not really as it's not his normal hunting ground, except for MSR. (I can't think of much else)
    He hasn't got much to prove at home now and instead of his usual PN which has been given to Chavanel and so he is here for a change.
    Must have expected better weather though and I hope he gets a couple more.

    I guess. Quiz Step traditionally had their Belgian squad and their Italian squad. It got me thinking as to where riders get the majority of their wins, for example are the majority of Boonen's in Belgium or France?

    In 1986, Kelly took MSR and PR, but finished 2nd (just) in Flanders to Adrie Van der Poel.

    The Orange Baron was even more impressive, winning MSR and ToF, finishing 2nd in PR, but throwing in a LBL AND a TdF (including all three jerseys) win in for good measure. Just don't mention that year's Giro.
