Best Rack for Carbon bike

I currently have roof bars - but with a citroen picasso - I find the whole thing gets very high and have scratched \ dented the roof on my old picasso.
I now have a carbon bike and I am bit reluctant to clamp the down tube
I had thought of a strap on rack - but in the past these have scratched the car & bike
A tow thing might be best - but these work out very expensive ....
Any ideas folks ?

I've alwys used one of these - remove the front wheel and clamp the forks...0 -
I got one of the Thule boot racks, seems very solid and bike was safe and unscratched. It DID scratch the top of my hatchback boot though, not that I'm too bothered about the car - main thing is the bike was OK!
You can open the boot while its on as well which makes it a lot more flexible.
Have heard good things about the Saris Bones too.0 -
You can still clamp carbon bikes on the roof. Just be careful. I do it and so do 20 teams at the major tours.Brian B.0

You've got a van with windows for a car and you're asking about putting the bike on the roof.
Just drop some of the eleventeen seats in there and put it inside0 -
