I have been tempted by these for £400! seem like a good deal,

I have been tempted to get the 101/82 version for some super fast wheels for ze flats as I now have my "everyday" climbing wheels. Either these or some from derek.

Let me know how you get on with them as I would be interested to know.

Derek uses the same rims as Planet X. He can then build them with various hubs, so I don't understand your 'negative bits'?

+1 What negative bits? Only had a positive experience with Derek. I bet Planet X didn't offer to glue your tubs on for you for free or throw in a can of sealant as well?
  • I had to pay £15 to get the tubs glued on, I sent an email to derek and he said they where different rims, there's a huge long post on here somewhere and it was mostly positive but not all, some negative...

I've only had good experience with planet x myself, i had an sl pro that was great and my girlfriend has one now that she loves.
I also rate the model B wheels, great value and great performance for the money...

I'm not dissing wheelsmith.co.uk, it was very close but i opted for px in the end.. :)

You're right they are different rims. I meant to say that they're from the same manufacturers

Why go trawling for the negatives thread? If it's difficult to find, it's difficult to find for a reason. Heard nowt but glowing praise about Derek...
  • Its not a negative thread, there where just one or two comments that steered me towards planet x, I would have no problem buying from wheelsmith at all!

Im a big seller on ebay and i have 2 negative feedbacks and i did everything i could to sort the problem, I'm sure derek has sold far more than me and some people you just cant please, Ive also heard lots of great things about wheelsmith.co.uk
