Why do some pro teams use Record, others Super Record?

It seems that about half of the pro teams running Campagnolo are using Record rather than Super Record. I like that, as it's a sign that Record hasn't been downgraded and is still seen as pro-level equipment. Why do some teams have R when they could have SR though?
Is SR too expensive even for them?
Do the little cutouts on the SR levers add some air resistance?
Maybe some team bikes need the extra 50g to help bring them up to the UCI weight limit?
Or is it just a sign that the only real advantage of SR over R is bling?

Quick Step's new Merckx bikes have normal Record 11. And there was at least one other team I saw with Record (can't remember which).0

It is too expensive and last year, some teams experienced some trouble with SR in the more brutal races such as the one day classics. There are articles about it in cyclingnews, I just dont have the patience to find them right now.0
