Hei again friends!!
Looking for some advice, I gonna buy a Giro Xen Helmet in CRC and i really don't know which is my size. My head is 58 cm diameter, I've been using a Met in L size (54-60) and after 10 years i gonna change it.
So which size i choose: Medium (54-59) or Large (59-63)?????
I think may be Large, isn't it???
Now i have very sort hair!!!
cheers!!

Don't get the large, I have a 62cm swede and even I could get in it.
You'll want a Medium given that your head falls into that size0 -
Depends on head shape etc. You need to try them on.0

I always found the giro size chart pretty accurate. and 58cm would put you in medium.
but head shapes are weird so try before you buy if you can.0 -
I just bought a giro hex for my 58cm head and the medium one fits me perfectly.0

I recently bought a Giro Hex but tried on the Zen in the shop as well and a medium fits a treat and I've the same sized head as you.Trek Top Fuel 9 2010, Stumpy Pro 2009 ,Giant XTC3 2009, Qu-ax Penny Farthing,

go and trying on in a shop and buy it there.
If you want to end up never being able to get the sizing right then by all means buy online, but shops mean you can actually sort out fit.
I'm all for getting cheap stuff, but if it is something you need to try on, like a bike, or clothes, or shoes etc. Go to a bricks and mortar shop.0 -
Thanks for all the tips guys!!! It's true that i have to try it in a shop first, but it's difficult to do it when you live in the country side one hour far away from a big city where are all the cool bike shops.
This is the great thing about internet shopping! And of course i preffer to buy in normal shops where you can talk a little, try it, check more stuff, but life is busy.
Anyway, I am a spanish guy living 70 km south Oslo (Norway)
Thanks for all again, in case i can't found a shop with the Giro Xen i think i order the M size.0 -
I'm in the same boat as you, can't really try them on as I live well over an hour from any bike shop that stocks Giro helmets and the chances of them stocking a Xen in my size is pretty slim even if I do get the time to get out there. How did you get on with the medium? ? My heads 59cm so just inside the medium size judging by Giro sizing so not sure what to get.0

This.
It could be the best helmet in the world, if it doesn't fit correctly you just as well put a saucepan on your head.0 -
Before you go spending £85 for a medium sized Xen with CRC, you can get the Matt Gold 09 version for £49.99 currently at Evans cycles.

Cheers for that, had seen it during the week. Hoping to make it to the nearest Halfords in the next few days so I can try on the Hex and see if the medium will fit my bonce before I order the Xen off Evans. I'm guessing there can't be a huge difference in fit between the two. Cheapest I've seen em online anyway.0 -
i have been through this. my head is around 59cm and i was choosing the XEN between M or L. i found the M is abit tight fit so I went for the L size. it fits comfortable on my head on daily commute, however slightly too wobbly on rough descent.
so if i were to do it again, i would simply pick some others helmet.0
