I'm not normally one to 'gossip' about customer experiences but following on from trying to get to speak with this company I thought I'd see what others have experienced with this outfit.

Started off looking for the best price on a new helmet and these guys came up the cheapest and according to their site it states:

"All items available to purchase on Nice2Tri.com are in stock, therefore we aim to dispatch goods within 48 working hours of receipt of your order"

2 days back I ordered online, payment of £120 was taken from my visa debit card within seconds of clicking the confirm order button followed by an email within 2 minutes confirming the order and giving me an order number etc...

I emailed them yesterday after checking my order status online where it said it was NEW, I dropped then an email asking if they knew when the item was likely to be despatched and 24 hours later I am still waiting for a reply.

I just called them, pressed #2 for existing orders only to be kept waiting 10 minutes before hanging up, tried again 15 minutes later, same again... after 4 minutes I'd had enough so tried #1 which was for new orders... only to be gretted with a message saying the office was now closed, please call back between 09.30am - 5.00pm Monday to Friday... only problem is it was 2.30pm on a wednesday afternoon when I rang !?!?!?!?!

According to their website they are 1st for Customer Service, really... !!!

Not in my book... the helmet is now showing up as out of stock so it seems they've taken my money and I'm now on a waiting list, where as most companies will not take payment until the items are despatched, Wiggle for example who have always been spot on for me.

I think you've done exactly the right thing in coming on here and telling all quite honestly.

Good to hear about your experiences of online shops, good or bad, so that we can get the heads up of this place.

Hope you get it sorted macdesigner (I'm one too btw).
  • giant mancp, thanks for your reply...

I'm a one for dealing with the larger dealers who normally have some weight behind them but these guys look genuine according to their site.

They also tweeted 3 hours back on the twitter feed so someone must be home.

Will update thread when I get any news...

    Regards

either that or you bought the last one. i can't believe how impatient some people are with online orders.

me too - sometimes stuff happens and you have to take it on the chin.
These are often just shops, and they havn't got fool proof IT. Price hunting does have its consequences!

The lack of response to the emails and phone is an issue, though. I'd point that out to them when you do get a response!

I am pretty sure that they are/were genuine- I bought some KEO pedals from them last year, and the service was good. If I could work out how to find my historical posts, I think I might even have highlighted the low price on here.......
  • quick update...

I did receive an email from Nice2Tri last evening with an explanation that there had
been a mix up and they never actually had stock of the helmet, even though there website
showed stock and allowed me to make a purchase.

I have requested a refund and have tried to speak with them on the phone twice already
this morning with out success... lets see what happens.

    Thanks again for your replies...

they do exist, they had a stand at Bedford Classic triathlon last year. The website also shows a showroom (shop in most peoples world!).although I guess this could be mocked up photos of anywhere.

Never bought anything from them, but their stall at the triathlon gave me an idea of what to get the Mrs for her birthday
  • update #2...

I'm now in the process of trying to get my money back :(

It seems Nice2Tri are partly to blame along with O2 Money, the seller's website should
have been up to date and not allowing me to add the item to the cart to start the whole process
off and O2 Money (grabbing ********) say the seller has to fax them details so they will return
my £120 from a holding account, if the seller won't do then I have to wait 15 days to get my
money back... good job mslush fund it quite healthy at the moment, but still annoying !!

I was at the Bedford Classic and the stall was PureTri

It was the first time I'd seen them but have bought stuff from them a couple of times since. They seem to have the stock thats shown on their website and delivery was very quick, even answered the phone when I had a query on sizing
