just fitted the cleats to the carbon soles of my sidi shoes and have noticed there are 2 screw holes left empty, one in front of the cleat and one a fair way behind almost in the middle of the shoe.

anyone know what they are for ( I guess other cleats but I don't have them on my other sidi shoes) and whether I need to get some small screws to put in them to prevent water coming in?

cheers

I've noticed those holes on my Genius 6.5s and wondered the same thing. I've put electrical tape over the holes to stop the draft.

lazy...they are the ergo2s....the 2009 model on offer I hasten to add!!

I think the tape idea is a good one...although when it gets hot its probably a good idea to take it off. its just that at well over 200 quid for the a full price pair it seems a bit 'off' that you have to start putting tape on em!!

Could it be to let the water drain away?

also have ergo 2's..never really had a problem with them since in wet weather you wear overshoes and in the summer you appreciate the coolness. 2 weeks ago I rode 4.5 hours in the snow over the north pennines and didn't have a problem. wouldn't worry about the holes :)
