wheels Hope Pro 2 Hubs

i am looking to purchase so new wheels with hope pro 2 hubs but am un sure as to what rim and spoke options i need to go for the which is a trek fuel ex7 will be used mainly used for trail centres such as llangella codey and afan and my local woods any info much appreciated thanks

How much do you weigh, and what tyres will you use? Are you particularly heavy on kit?

i'm about 16 stone mate always where a back pack with the usual tool in and 2 litres of watter currently using maxxis highroller tyres

I would go for Mavic Xm719 rims with DT Comp Double Butted spokes (2.0/1.8 )

where would be the best place to get these built i would like blue hope hubs looked on chain reaction s but they dont offer blue front hope hubs as an option thanks

for your weight id go for the mavic en521 for a bit of security. the 719 is a beefed up xc rim whereas the 521 is an enduro rim plus they will give a higher volume tyre a better, more stable profile.

Not far off ordering some wheels myself for the Isis Rebuild. Top choice at the moment are Mavix XC717 or XM719 rims with Hope Pro 2 hubs .... and black spokes I'm not sure of the weight of the XM719 wheel builds but I 've read it's not much more then the XC717 builds so I might go for those for a bit of extra strength.

Got XM719s with DT Comp spokes on XT hubs by Merlin and they are absolutely rock solid.

^^^ so have i, i weigh 15st they're on a HT and don't get treated gently and after nearly 3 years use they're as true as the day they came out of the box.

XC717 is 400g and 17mm internal diameter
XM719 470g and 19mm
EN521 530g and 21mm
EX721 590g and 21mm

+1. Been running this for the last few months at Afan, Cwcarn uplift days etc and it is pretty bombproof. Not the lightest setup but very robust.
