New road shoes - recommendations please...

I am looking to get a new pair of road specific shoes after riding with an old pair of Nike triathlon shoes for a few years.
I don't want to spend a fortune and wonder if there is a consensus of opinion on the best pair to buy for say, under £150?
I have quite wide feet and have struggled to find comfortable options in the past, hence sticking with the old tri shoes for so long
Thanks.

Sidi do a mega (wide) version - and can be very comfy.0

I have a pair of specialized BG pro shoes and they are very stiff and very comfy. Cold on cold days, thaough, but that means they are cool on hot days, when I use them most.0

I've tried a number of shoes and now won't buy anything other than Sidi.

I agree. Ergo2 carbon, if you can afford them. The bees knees. Got a pair for less than £150.0 -
I got a pair of Lake CX330C about a month ago and they're absolutely fantastic. Comfy, good for wide feet and have a ridiculously stiff sole.
Got them for £150 in a deal on Wiggle.0 -
Spec or Northwave for flippers.0
