No surely not the colour, man? The only thing to consider is the ride quality surely ..

Go and get test rides on all the bikes, only then will you know the bike for you.

The usual answer to this question is ........CAAD9
    So I'll stick with that
    Cannondale Supersix / CAAD9 / Boardman 9.0 / Benotto 3000

+1. I can't believe the number of people willing to buy a bike without a decent test ride!

Different framesets will have different geometry which can radically affect your comfort and therefore enjoyment of the bike.

Well if they are all equal - one has ultegra, which is a higher spec groupset than the other two.

+2! Although having owned an Mortirolo I can highly recommend them...

I can't believe it either, I certainly wouldn't pay out on any bike without testing it. If a test ride is available that is. Do people actually buy bikes based on colour? Really?

As good a value as the Planet X is, I wouldn't buy it.
It's light and has a full Ultegra but I read that it's not as good as it could be.
Even the Boardman Carbon would be my prefered choice over the Planet X.
I think the Cannondale will be a nice option with the nicely made frame, good ride quality and shimano equipement and a worthy frame to upgrade in the future.
Not much of an Italian bike fan TBH but I'm sure it'll be pretty good and you get Campag stuff instead of shimano.

    Have you considered 2nd hand?
£1000 will get you a storming 2nd hand bike thats better specced and will give you the chance to ride before you buy (obviously with the owners permission).

My BMC bike was sold on here for £1450....I paid near £2700 for it just a year earlier.
That had full Dura Ace, Fulcrum 1 wheels, Easton finishing kit etc.

    Worth a check.

The Mortirolo is the one I'd choose.

I've had one for the last couple of years. Full carbon frame, very comfortable ride, and with veloce it's more than upgradable. I've got Chorus and Shamals on mine and it's a belter.

Also, Wilier is a more exclusive brand if you're into that kindof thing.

Cannondale is very good but do you want alu or carbon? If you are doing Sportives or steady all day rides I'd think 'Budget Carbon' (Planet X), if you are more into blasting around the countryside as quicly as possible I'd say Cannondale CAA9.
