    got them on both bikes and very happy with them, only cost about £22 and weigh less than 500g

    Nah, no need for ortlieb unless you ride through rivers on a regular basis.

    Altura orkneys are cheaper and very waterproof.

    Oh and my Basil twin bag was but £30, and that's waterproof, as long as you pull the cover right over the bags. It is pretty and flowery though.

    Tesco sell a twin bag for but £12. I haven't tested it yet but damn that's cheap.

    Don't bother. Go ortleib. So quick and easy to use, waterproof and bombproof. To my mind buying anything else is like not choosing SKS mudguards. False economy.
