...how easy are they to adjust, how can you tell if the current seat height will be right for you?

    Measure from the centre of your bottom bracket to the top of your saddle.

    If it is less than 795mm, then you could cut down the seat post some more. I have no idea how easy, or not, that is.

    If your current saddle height is more than 795mm, then your stuffed.

    My Scott Addict has an ISP. Cutting off excess tube is easy enough. The Scotts come with a guide that fastens around the post, once you've set your height you mark the post, fit clamp/guide & cut through a slot in the guide.

    If you're unsure let LBS tackle it. The saddle fits onto a clamp that slots over your ISP, this will have a bit of movement up or down. If for instance you buy a 2nd hand frame & the post is too short you can buy an aftermarket seat clamp that have extended tubes, these allow much more range of movement up or down. I think the extended Scott version allows for 6 cm of extra height.
