Bottom bracket size?

After a bit of 'cross pollenisation' between my Anthem X3 and Boardman Pro HT I've ended up with the Truvativ GXP bottom bracket and Stylo GXB cranks on the former and Octallink/Shimano M442 combination on the latter.
The X3 setup works fine but the Pro will not shift the chain to the largest front cog because the front mech can't reach far enough out (it's full swing, not just cable pull length).
As far as I can tell the BB is fitted correctly so I think the problem is that the Octalink BB is to wide for the CB frame..
So, can any tell me how I work out what size BB I need?

measure the shell.
and the axle length will be right.
you have adjusted the mech?"Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Yeah, the mech has been adjusted.. but it's full extension (even without cable) isn't far enough..
Cheers.. by shell I take it you mean the frame tube that the BB runs through?0 -
yep.
what are the big ring sizes on both crank sets?"Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

They are identical - 44/32/220

Hmm, I've just been out to check and both frames have a 68mm shell..
I guess I must've done something wrong in the installation..0
