New cassette - new chain?

I've recently bought but not yet installed a new Ultegra 11-28 cassette.
Should I replace my existing 6600 chain (with only about 1500 miles) for a new 6700 chain? I can get one for just over £20 when just about everywhere else is knocking them out around RRP at £35+

There's no such thing as too old.

its not always important, I would be best to measure chain to see how much if it have stretched then decide if it close to the limit0

I`m using both 6600 and 6700 chains, no noticable difference in gear changing or anything else.
(lot of flak going about at the mo. about "bad batch" of 6700 chains, having severe cracking problems, which may have impacted the selling price)
