Hi,

Sorry if this has been covered many times before, but on a quick search I couldn't find the answer I was looking for.

I have just purchased this system, and wanted to get a better quality of map than the standard analysis you get with it, the Motion based software is 85 dollars a year, so call me stingy but can you get a free version.

Thanks

You can download free OpenStreetMaps from here:

    http://garmin.na1400.info/routable.php

Once installed they will work with Garmin Training Centre and Road Trip (free downloads from Garmin)

My anti virus software refuses point blank to download the Leeds tile file. Normally it offers me a choice, is there a problem with this site or some of the files?

I selected all the UK tiles at once and got a download for the whole lot. I use a Mac though, so wouldn't know anything about anti-virus software.

if its just for plotting routes then try www.bikehike.co.uk otherwise garmin connect will give you all the google map looks with your training data and give you a 'play of where you have been and your heart rate, cadence at the same time
