What levers can you use on Shimano XT m765 brakes

I have just purchased a front and rear SHIMANO BR-M765 XT Disc Brake 160mm, Kit. I think I was a little hasty. When I saw kit I assumed that the levers came with it. It seems they don't.
Question is. Can I use any Shimano Hydraulic levers or do I have to have the dedicated XT-765 ones.
Being quite new to mountain biking I am not sure. My gut instinct tells me that as long as you are pushing pressure to the callipers it should be OK.
Hope someone can help me out there.
The alternative is to ditch what I have brought and start again.
